Bhopal horror: Man cuts woman’s nose with knife for rejecting marriage proposal; accused on run
BHOPAL: A shocking incident was reported from the Gandhi Nagar area on Thursday afternoon, where a youth attacked a 22-year-old woman with a knife and cut off her nose after she refused his marriage proposal.
The accused was pressuring the woman to marry him for several days.Gandhi Nagar police registered a case on charges of assault under relevant sections and launched a manhunt for the accused.

According to police, the complainant, a 22-year-old woman, is educated up to Class 12 and lives with her family in the Gandhi Nagar area.
The accused, identified as Dinesh, belonged to the same community and earlier lived in the same locality but now resides in Doraha, Sehore.Police said that the woman alleged that on Thursday around noon, Dinesh travelled from Sehore to Bhopal. She was going to a college in Gandhi Nagar.
When she reached near the Airport Bridge, the accused Dinesh came from behind on his scooter and waylaid her. He forcefully took the woman to accompany him on his scooter and took her to IT Park in Gandhi Nagar on the pretext of talking about something.
He took out a knife from the scooter dickey and once again forced her to agree to marriage. When the woman firmly refused, Dinesh got angry and attacked her with the knife, slicing her nose. He fled the scene, leaving her injured and bleeding at the spot.
She called her mother and informed her about the incident.The woman’s mother, upon receiving information, rushed to the spot with her brother and took her to a private hospital, from where after receiving primary treatment, she was referred to Hamidia Hospital.
The woman is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Acting on her complaint, Gandhi Nagar police have registered a case against Dinesh and formed teams to arrest him.
