NarainKarthikeyan, the first and only Indian to race in Formula One, may get anothershot at it now that the 57-year-old Mallya is set to own an F1 team.
Mallya, along with the Dutch-based Mol family, clinched a deal toacquire the Spyker Formula One team - one of just 11 active F1 teams. They nowhave 30 days to wrap up formalities.
The deal, worth around $123million (about Rs 500 crore) takes India a step closer to its dream of holdingan F1 race.
