Maharashtra, Jharkhand Election Live Updates: In a bid to counter the ruling alliance, the MVA coalition announced on Wednesday several welfare measures for Maharashtra's residents, including Rs 3,000 monthly support and complimentary state transport bus travel for women. The Shiv Sena (UBT)-NCP(SP)-Congress alliance unveiled the Krishi Sammruddhi Yojana, offering farmers a Rs 3 lakh loan waiver and Rs 50,000 incentive for timely crop loan repayments before the November 20 assembly elections. Additional commitments made at the BKC ground gathering included Rs 4,000 monthly support for unemployed youth and healthcare benefits with insurance coverage up to Rs 25 lakh.
Currently, the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP government provides Rs 1,500 monthly to eligible women through their 'Ladki Bahin' scheme, with plans to raise it to Rs 2,100.
The alliance additionally pledged to implement a caste census in Maharashtra upon winning the state election, whilst promising to eliminate the 50 percent reservation limit if successful in national elections.

Between October 15, when the model code of conduct for Maharashtra elections came into force, and November 5, authorities in Thane district have seized liquor, drugs and freebies worth Rs 13.26 crore, officials have said. A total of 209 FIRs have been registered in connection with the seizures, Thane Collector Ashok Shingare said during a review meeting with Special Observer (Expenses) B R Balakrishnan on Wednesday, according to an official statement.
Shingare shared a presentation on key numbers associated with the upcoming polls in the Thane district, which has 72,29,339 voters spread across 18 assembly segments. Of them, 22,82,882 are women and 1,415 are from the third gender category.

Swaraj India chief Yogendra Yadav has accused the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance of running a 'jhoot, loot, phoot' (lies, corruption, and division) government in Maharashtra.
Addressing a public rally in Dahanu in Palghar district on Thursday in support of sitting MLA Vinod Nikole, he urged people to vote based on values and principles, rather than being swayed by financial promises.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist), a constituent of the opposition INDIA bloc, has renominated Nikole from Dahanu.
Yadav denounced the current administration as a 'jhoot, loot, phoot' government and alleged that those in power were implementing "destructive" policies.

Maharashtra, Jharkhand Election Live Updates: The Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, currently in opposition in Maharashtra, announced on November 20 several welfare schemes to challenge the incumbent government. The alliance pledged a monthly payment of Rs 3,000 to women and complimentary travel on state transport buses.
The coalition, comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP(SP), and Congress, unveiled the Krishi Sammruddhi Yojana, offering farmers a loan waiver of up to Rs 3 lakh. Additionally, farmers who regularly repay crop loans will receive Rs 50,000 as an incentive.
During a public gathering at the BKC ground, MVA leaders also promised a monthly allowance of Rs 4,000 for unemployed youth. The alliance further committed to providing health insurance coverage up to Rs 25 lakh and free medicines to state residents.
