Being a Police Officer, Soumya Mishra did the right thing in foregoing the third Lead India episode to negotiate with the kidnappers to rescue a child. In appreciation of her gesture, it will be in the fitness of things if she is given the privilege of a quiz program exclusively for her. - Dr V Subramanyan
Her conscience would’ve pricked her had she not left
Duty of Soumya Mishra was very much necessary as it would enhance the chances of rescuing the child from the kidnappers as she is well experienced in that field and in a better position to negotiate with the kidnappers. If she had not skipped the shooting of the third episode of Lead India, her conscience would constantly have pricked her and she would not have been a worthy candidate for Lead India either. In fact, by exerting her option for duty over destiny, she proved herself and showed all the traits of a great leader. i SURESH M IYER

A child’s life was at stake here
Yes, I would choose duty over destiny. For me duty comes first. A child's life is more important than taking part in a contest. - Via SMS
I would have, for sure, acted in the way Soumya Mishra did by putting duty above potential destiny. She may get lots of opportunities in future to make her destiny. But her noble and dutiful act, of attempting to save a child from the clutches of the kidnappers, would certainly go down her life as a memorable event. One should always aim at duty first and everything else later. - S K Gupta
Duty must always come before destiny
Soumya took the best step by choosing the duty above potential destiny. Firstly, she is bound to her duty as a SP and then only she can do any thing. If I am in her position I will happily take the pride of serving the people. - Sreenadh

Yes. I would have chosen duty over destiny. But I feel she shouldn't move out of the competition at this stage. She should stay till the end. - Sparsh Sharma
Both duty and destiny go hand in hand.
I will choose both, as one is incomplete without the other. One can work hard but its the destiny that's make you a king or a beggar. - Via SMS
