Lawyer hopes for relief

DEHRADUN: Investigating officer in the Madhumita murder case T Raja Balaji told TOI that CBI would study the verdict and decide on appealing against Pandey's acquittal. He said the deposition of Madhumita's servant, Deshraj, and the DNA test report, which proved that Amarmani was the father of the child Madhumita was carrying, had helped CBI crack the case.Amarmani's lawyer, Praveen Seth, said, "After studying the order, we'll appeal to the high court. We are confident to get some relief from the high court."
