Kiron Kher slams Surjeet

CHANDIGARH: Like her husband, actress Kiron Kher on Friday trained guns at CPM veteran Harkishen Singh Surjeet for the removal of Anupam Kher from the chairmanship of the film censor board and said the family would fight it out.
"It''s a political game (sacking of Anupam Kher) played at the behest of Surjeet (CPM general secretary Harkishan Singh). The aim of the Congress leadership was to please Surjeet and bend to his dictates," she said."There is no coordination between the Left and the Congress — the main constituent of the UPA government — at the central level. There is no system in the government and it is directionless," Kiron alleged.
Hailing actress Sharmila Tagore as a “suitable personality� for the post of censor board chairperson, Kiron Kher said, "I respect her and pray to the almighty that she does not become the next victim of dirty politics.�
