RAIPUR: A superintendent of police (SP) and his wife were severely injured in an attack by elephants in a village in the forest region of Chhattisgarh’s Pendra on Wednesday evening. Four foresters were also injured. Local media reports said that a female elephant coiled its trunk around Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi SP

The SP has suffered head injuries and was shifted to a private hospital in Bilaspur, around 100km away, after preliminary treatment in the
