NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday highlighted the global appeal of Indian culture as he shared a montage showcasing performances of traditional Indian culture in countries he has visited.
The Prime Minister's international engagements are frequently marked by the celebration of India's rich heritage, drawing attention to its universal resonance.
"Indian culture resonates globally! Wherever I go, I see immense enthusiasm towards our history and culture, which is extremely gladdening," PM Modi wrote on the social media platform X.
The montage included glimpses of Indian art forms embraced worldwide. Highlights featured Austrian artists performing Vande Mataram during PM Modi’s visit to Vienna, Polish dancers welcoming him with Garba in Warsaw, and Russian women engaging in traditional Garba in Moscow. The video also showcased Dandiya Raas in Bhutan, a Bharatanatyam performance in Singapore, and recitations of the Gayatri Mantra and Bihu in Laos.
One notable moment depicted Bhutanese artists singing a folksy song titled ‘Ame Raji Modi ji na Raj maa re’, paying homage to the Prime Minister. The montage further included Russian artists chanting Hare Krishna, chants of Har Har Mahadev in Brazil, and a theatrical depiction of the Ramayana in both Laos and Brazil.
PM Modi’s international visits have consistently served as a platform for celebrating India’s traditions, reinforcing the idea of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations.
