Hindu activist hacked to death in Karnataka; lens on hate angle

BENGALURU: Tension prevailed in Shivamogga, Karnataka, after a 26-year-old Hindu activist was hacked to death by unidentified persons around 9. 30pm on Sunday. He has been identified as Harsha, a tailor from Seegehatti in
Shivamogga, about 270km from Bengaluru.
Though police have not ruled out old enmity, they suspect his communal posts on social media could be the trigger.He is said to have received threats earlier.
Police tightened security across the town.
