NEW DELHI: A massive fire broke out on Thursday at three cottages near a beachside property in Mandrem, Goa. According to Namdev Pawar, in-charge of Pernem Fire Station emergency teams rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.Pawar said, "Fire broke out at three cottages near a beachside property in Mandrem. On Wednesday, over 1000 people were rendered homeless after a devastating fire spread over 280 shanties in Lucknow. Houses of several migrant workers were burnt in the blaze. According to the police, no casualties were reported. The blaze spread rapidly through the densely packed makeshift resulting in a series of explosions. According to district administration officials, the shanties were constructed illegally on the land of Awas Vikas Parishad.
