CHENNAI: Prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam, Abdul Karim Telgi, on Thursday pleaded guilty along with two others before a special court for CBI cases.
Telgi, Abdul Wahid and Jacob Chako, who are lodged in Yerawada jail in Pune, pleaded guilty through video conferencing before special judge N Velu.
The three accused replied in the affirmative when the judge asked them if they were pleading guilty.

They also informed the judge that they had given a written representation to the jailer, to this effect.
Following this, the judge directed the Jailer of Yerawada prison to send the representation to the court and adjourned further hearing of the case to December 18.
Earlier, two other accused, Sarfraz Nawaz and Balaji pleaded guilty before the judge.
Nawaz was sentenced to five years RI on October six while Balaji's plea was still pending.
The accused were charged with cheating, conspiracy, counterfeiting and forgery.
According to CBI, the accused conspired, printed and circulated fake stamp papers in the state, thereby causing loss of crores of rupees to the public exchequer.
