Counting for assembly seats in Rajasthan began on Sunday morning along with the states of Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chattisgarh. Rajasthan went to the polls in 199 of 200 assembly seats on November 25. The majority mark in the state is 100. Elections in the Karanpur constituency were adjourned due to the passing of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer H Lianzela told PTI that the counting was being held in 13 centres across the state. One counting hall has been set up for each of the 40 assembly seats at these 13 centres, he said.
