Dehradun students pledge to become soldiers in a unique musical homage to martyred CRPF soldiers

DEHRADUN: In Uttarakhand's war memorial Shaurya Sthal, a unique homage was given to

CRPF martyrs

of Pulwama on Friday by hundreds of students who sang patriotic songs and pledged to join the armed forces in honour of the martyred soldiers.


Organised by Mr Tarun Vijay, who is the chairman of the war memorial, the programme saw children from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cantonment Board School, Tribal school from the Northeastern children and many others.

The eyes were moist when children sang "Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon".

BS Sajwan had to leave his ailing wife in hospital ICU arrived at the event to pay homage to the martyrs. He is the father of a martyr Pramod Sajwan who died fighting the terrorists in Kashmir.

The state police chief Anil Raturi, additional police chief Ashok Kumar and several other senior officers were present to pay homage to the fallen soldiers.

Raturi said that "India will win the war against terrorism as we follow a path of high morality and our jawans are the bravest. He paid homage on behalf of the entire police force and people of the state.

Vijay said that the terrorists are the most cowards and they attack like thugs and thieves, they have to be eliminated mercilessly.
