Custodial torture: Court orders FIR against 2 Tamil Nadu cops
MADURAI: Madras high court has ordered an FIR and “action in accordance with the law” against two TN cops for alleged custodial torture of a passport applicant in Virudhunagar in 2020.
Justice Mohan rejected an additional public prosecutor’s contention that departmental proceedings were not binding.
