Between May 2 to May 30, the number of active Covid-19 cases was more than recovered cases. After that, the difference between number of active and recovered cases is rising. Today, number of recovered cases is 1.8 times higher than the active cases.

Of these states Uttar Pradesh has a recovery rate of 64%, Odisha 67%, Assam 65%, Gujarat 70%, Tamil Nadu has a recovery rate of 65%: Rajesh Bhushan, OSD, Ministry of Health.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today directed officials to ensure sanitation drives are undertaken in all markets and public places during the weekend restrictions imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus. He told officials to carry out campaigns to raise awareness on sanitation, use of masks and social distancing. He said the stricter curbs in crowded areas and markets on Saturdays and Sundays are meant to achieve the sanitation targets.
