Coronavirus live updates: Karnataka to open temples from June 1

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd said on Tuesday it will begin a new clinical trial in India to test a combination of two anti-viral drugs - favipiravir and umifenovir - as a potential Covid-19 treatment.The study will look to enroll 158 hospitalized patients of moderate Covid-19 in India, the company added.

In a video message, Dattatreya Hosabale, Sahsarkaryavah, RSS, praised the PM and the Centre for dealing with the unprecedented situation that still prevails due to Covid-19. "The government in the first week of March started thermal screening at airports and prepared SOPs for the society," he said. Hosabale was speaking through a video message titled "Samvada - Bharatiya response to Corona".

The Air India flight from JFK International Airport to Bengaluru flew on May 25 and had 329 passengers, including two infants, according to officials. India's Consul General in New York Sandeep Chakravorty and Deputy Consul General Shatrughna Sinha were at the airport to supervise the process.
