NEW DELHI: People travelling to India from other countries are required to fill up a self-declaration form upon arrival at the airport as a part of preventive measures announced by the government amid rising concerns over
coronavirus infections.
The form has to be filled up in duplicate and handed over at immigration and heath counters at the airport for clearance to enter the country.
While the forms are available at the airports and can be filled upon arrival, having a filled printout ready could save flyers a lot of time and also the inconvenience of standing in queue.
As a part of the measures initiated to curb the spreading of coronavirus, the government is already screening passengers coming from all parts of the world at 30 airports in the country.
Last week the government had announced that flyers from 12 countries will be segregated from other passengers till the conveyer belt areas at airports.
Passengers arriving from China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hongkong, Vietnam, Nepal and Indonesia would be segregated from the other arriving passengers, according to an official of the Airports Authority of India.
