NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has zeroed in on the man who allegedly gave BJP leader Dilip Singh Judeo cash in a hotel room before a hidden camera.
The agency on Friday declined to reveal the identity of the man.
It was not clear whether the CBI was considering his arrest, especially since it has yet to file an FIR or register a case against Judeo.
Rohit Choudhury, a Congress activist and resident of Delhi''s Mukherjee Nagar area, has been extensively questioned in this connection.
Calls were made from the hotel room to his cell phone. His interrogation has reportedly helped in identifying the bribe giver.
Judeo, who turned up for questioning on Thursday, denied he had received any bribe from any-one.
Asked repeatedly about the source and purpose of the money, he in fact questioned the veracity of the video tape and claimed that he had not been in the hotel.
However, he admitted that on occasion he did receive ''donations'' from different people for his anti-conversion campaign in Chhattisgarh.
His close aide Natwar Ratheria also appeared for questioning. The two, however, came separately for questioning in response to CBI notices.
