NEW DELHI: Reliance ADA Group on Friday countered
CBI's expectation on the possibility of three of its executives -- Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nair -- turning approver in the 2G spectrum scam case.
It denied CBI's statement about contradictory stands taken by the three during investigations and in court. "Neither Reliance ADA Group nor any of its promoters or executives have committed any offence, and there is no question of any of the chargesheeted executives become approvers," it said in a statement.
"No change in statements or stand by the three chargesheeted employees at any stage, either before the investigating agency or the courts.
Any statement to the contrary by CBI before the
Supreme Court is baseless," the group said.
"No company or individual of the Reliance ADA Group had any beneficial interest in the 2G licence issued in January 2008. The 9.9% equity interest in Swan Telecom held by Reliance Telecom was sold months before the grant of licence to Swan Telecom," it added.
