CBI fails to name Games OC chief Suresh Kalmadi in FIR

NEW DELHI: The CBI on Thursday failed to name Commonwealth Games organising committee (OC) chairman Suresh Kalmadi in its FIR despite having evidence against AM Films.CBI has ignored thedocument trail proving Kalmadi cleared payments for AMFilms.However, Kalmadi's three close aides - T S Darbari, SanjayMahendroo and M Jayachandran -- who are in CBI custody have been named in theFIRThe three were arrested for alleged financial irregularities inQueen's Baton Relay. While Darbari and Mahendroo have been in CBIcustody since their arrest on the November 15, Jayachandran was arrested on theNovember 20.
