Bounty for fugitive don to be raised to Rs 2.5 lakh

Two days after Badan Singh Baddo, The Godfather-inspired 48-year-old gangster, escaped from police custody, UP Police has raised the reward on him to Rs 1 lakh, which would further be increased to Rs 2.5 lakh after the DGP's approval.
Additional director general (Meerut) Prashant Kumar confirmed the development claiming that several teams have been working round the clock to trace the fugitive don.
This brings Baddo in league of the state's most wanted criminals, like Babuli Kol, a dreaded dacoit from Chitrakoot (Rs 5 lakh), and Monu Gurjar, a hardened criminal from Meerut (Rs 2 lakh).
