BJP’s ‘invisible friends’ behind Gyanvapi dispute: Akhilesh Yadav
LUCKNOW: Describing the present
“Gyanvapi mosque is very old. It (the present dispute) is a well-planned conspiracy of the BJP,” he said, adding, “BJP ke ye invisible mitra hain jo samay samay par nikal kar ke aate hain. BJP ke ishare par hi ye inke adrashya sehyogi hain jo nikal kar ke aate hain aur jaan boojh kar nafrat ke beej dalte hain (These invisible friends of the BJP bring up such issues …. These invisible associates come out in the open at the instance of the BJP and deliberately spread hate).”
The former CM said the Supreme Court and lower courts in various judgments over the years have said that old issues cannot be raked up. “Lekin uske bawajood bhi BJP ke ishare par Hindu-Muslim jhagde lage rahe, nafrat phailti rahe (Despite court verdicts, Hindu-Muslim disputes are raked up now and then at the instance of the BJP to spread hate),” he said in Azamgarh on Tuesday while responding to media queries over claims that a Shivling has been found during the survey of
Akhilesh said such issues were being deliberately raked up as a part of a well thought of design to shift the focus of burning fundamental issues like inflation.
“The BJP wants that there should be no discussion on rising prices. No one should talk about the increase in diesel or petrol prices. Prices of steel have risen but no one should focus on that. There should be no debate on why prices of cement or mustard oil prices were increasing. So, at the instance of BJP, such issues are raked up as a part of a design,” the SP chief said.
"Whenever such (temple-mosque) issues take over the public discourse, the government gets down to shape its policies which otherwise will attract public scrutiny," he said. “When such issues are raked up then some things are either being sold or bought … away from the public glare,” he added.
“Until now the BJP talked of one nation and ration. Soon they (BJP) might say one nation-one industrialist. So we have to watch out and beware of their conspiracies,” he said.
