BJP protests Sarabjit's death at Attari border

Thousands of BJP workers, led by state BJP president Kamal Sharma, staged demonstration against Pakistan on Sunday at Attari international border protesting the death of Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan's Kot Lakhpat jail.

AMRITSAR: Thousands of BJP workers, led by state BJP president Kamal Sharma, staged demonstration against Pakistan on Sunday at Attari international border protesting the death of Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan's Kot Lakhpat jail.
The agitated workers broke police barricades, following which the police used water cannons to disperse them.
Talking to TOI, Sharma said that BJP wanted Pakistan to know that the Indian government may be weak but the common man is not.

"We are representing the feelings of a common man who is peeved at the death of Sarabjit Singh in police captivity," he said.
State BJP vice-president Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhinna said that they had taken effigies of ISI, Pakistan Army and Pak president Asif Ali Zardari and broke them into pieces at the border.
He said that BJP wanted to show the world that the common man of India was up against Pakistan for its 'cowardly act'.
