"the minister seemed to be spending nights doing nothing but making dirty calls," dasgupta said in the letter released to the media here on tuesday. the minister was not immediately available for comments. stating that it could not be said that someone in the household, other than the minister made these calls, dasgupta said "this would not take away the responsibility of the minister." the cpm member also gave a list of phone numbers from which calls were made as well as numbers to which calls were made and alleged that these were made at the cost of the exchequer. dasgupta also accused the minister of using the money of sick public sector undertakings to take trips to ranikhet and tirupathi. "he has to go to save you from further embarrassment," he told the prime minister, from whom he has sought time to discuss the matter.
