RAIPUR: Amidst elaborate security arrangements, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani''s Bharat Uday Yatra will enter Chhattisgarh on Friday from Jharkhand.
Advani, who will cover 680 km and five Lok Sabha constituencies during his four-day tour of the state, will be received on the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border at Jashpur district by Chief Minister Raman Singh and other prominent party leaders of the state, PWD minister Rajesh Munat, who is party incharge of the yatra, said.
During his yatra, Advani is scheduled to address 16 big rallies and 47 other road side meetings before entering Orissa, Munat said.
Advani will cover Raigarh, Janjgir, Bilaspur, Raipur and Mahasamund Lok Sabha seats, where as he will make night halts at Jashpur Nagar, Janjgir and Mahasamund, he said.
The Lok Sabha elections to 11 seats and two assembly by-elections will be held on April 20.
