3 more cheetah cubs born in Kuno
Gamini, the South African cheetah introduced to Kuno National Park three years ago under Project Cheetah, gave birth to three cubs on Wednesday. Another cheetah, Aasha, had given birth to three cubs earlier this month.
At a recent review meeting, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav set a target of 50 cheetahs by year-end. Officials say the survival of second-generation cubs and multiple successful mothers - particularly Aasha and Gamini - mark a consolidation phase for the reintroduction programme.
