100th Mann Ki Baat episode: BJP plans live broadcast at 4 lakh sites

NEW DELHI: BJP is set to make the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio broadcast on Sunday a massive mass outreach event by organising facilities across the country to enable people to listen to the live broadcast.

BJP sources said the party will make arrangements at around four lakh places, including some abroad, for people to hear Modi’s address. The party’s overseas units and several non-political organisations have been roped in to ensure the radio broadcast has maximum outreach.

Arrangements have been made in Raj Bhavans and official residences of CMs in states where BJP is in government for eminent citizens to listen to the programme, sources said. Padma awardees from all states have been invited to attend the events at Raj Bhavans, they said. Besides Padma awardees, people mentioned by the PM in different editions of his radio talk have also been invited to listen to the live broadcast.

BJP MPs and MLAs will be in their respective constituencies to oversee the exercise. The PM speaks on a variety of issues during his monthly broadcast on the last Sunday of every month. The programme started in 2014, the year he assumed office. “The Indian diaspora has also planned live broadcast of the 100th episode in various countries,” a source said.
