<br /><br />Recently, Alicia acted with eight Indian actors in an Indian-themed episode of the TV series <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Miss Match</span>. The episode was titled —what else —<span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Who''s Sari Now?</span> "Alicia is a lovely actress and I enjoyed working with her. A vegetarian, she likes Indian food," says Ajay Mehta, one of the actors in the serial. Mehta has done cameos in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Sopranos, Sex And The City, Law & Order</span>, and is also known for his roles as Swami Bu in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Guru</span> and the cabbie in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Spider-Man</span>.<br /><br />In the <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Who''s Sari Now?</span> episode, Kate (Alicia) is hired by Rashmi, a young Indian woman, to find a viable suitor so that she can avoid marrying Sanjay (guest star Tareq Kabir from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Average Joe</span>), the man to whom she has been promised by her parents since the age of six. Kate makes a valiant effort despite opposition from an Indian match-maker and the challenge that any suitor must be astrologically-compatible. Rashmi ultimately resigns herself to the arrangement until, on her wedding day, the perfect candidate arrives and Kate can''t help but intervene.<br /><br />"Alicia didn''t wear anything <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">desi</span> as the scenes didn''t warrant it," recalls Ajay, "But she was very keen on knowing about Indian culture and showed special interest in the religions of India, during our chats."
