Telangana actor-politician Babu Mohan quits BJP

HYDERABAD: Ahead of the Parliamentary elections, Tollywood veteran comedian Babu Mohan resigned from the Telangana BJP on Wednesday.

The senior actor, who has been away from the silver screen for the past two decades, expressed his disappointment that the party did not consider him for a ticket in Andole during the 2023 assembly polls.

He also stated that he could no longer continue with the party and placed the blame on the party leadership.

Babu Mohan had previously contested from the same seat but was unsuccessful. The actor turned politician was previously associated with the TDP in the united AP and served as a minister during N Chandrababu Naidu's tenure as chief minister.
