The audio device comes with 4GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage, this can be expanded further up to 128GB. It supports Google Drive, which means storage shouldn't be much concern. There's USB Type-C port as connectivity option. Sony claims that the device supports hi-res audio that allows users to “enjoy the subtlest nuances of studio-quality sound in higher than CD quality”.
The latest Walkman comes with Wi-Fi support and enables users to download music on it. For connectivity, the device is equipped with both Bluetooth and NFC. “Simply touch select NFC enabled devices to the on-body N-mark for a quick, seamless connection, which allows users to start streaming content via Bluetooth connection," said the company in a press statement.
The Walkman supports DSD audio formats up to 11.2 MHz and is claimed to offer high-quality PCM resolution. The device features S-Master HX digital amplifier, which the company says can deliver “high-resolution audio in maximum quality, with reduced distortion and noise.” It weighs approximately 103 gram.
Recently, the company showcased its first concept electric car at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 in Las Vegas. Called Sony Vision-S (not the official name but of the platform on which it is built), it is an electric concept sedan, which has as many as 33 different sensors inside and outside. There are multiple widescreen displays, always-on connectivity and 360 audio technology.
