Restart your phone (Reboot)

When unsure about battery problems, restart your phone! Hold the power button for about 30 seconds until your device restarts. If needed, tap "Restart" on the screen. This can clear background processes and give your battery a fresh start.

2/4

Check for Android updates

Keep your phone's software updated for the best performance and battery life. Open Settings, go to "System," and choose "System update." If necessary, tap "About phone" or "About tablet" first. Follow the on-screen instructions to make sure your device has the latest Android version, which can improve battery efficiency.

3/4

Check for app updates

Sometimes, it's not your phone's fault; it's the apps using too much power. Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, and pick "Manage apps & devices." Under "Updates available," update all apps or select specific ones. Developers release updates to improve performance, fix bugs, and boost battery efficiency.

4/4

Reset to factory settings

If nothing else works, consider starting fresh. A factory data reset erases all data and apps from your phone. Before doing it, backup your important data. Perform the reset through your phone's settings when you're ready. Remember, it's a drastic step but can be a game-changer for stubborn battery problems.

The article says, "Before doing it, backup your important data". This is wrong. I can't "backup" my data because "backup" is not a verb. If it was, I would be "backupping" (gerund) my data, it would be that I "backupped" (preterite) my data, and I would have "backupped" (participle) my data. The verb is "back up" (two words).
