Set against the backdrop of a village, this fictionalised story essentially focuses on highlighting the traditional method and importance of agriculture.
Shivu is a happy-go-lucky, and positive-minded guy who is keen to take up anything he can do for the welfare of the people in his village. He also believes that the development of this country lies in its villages. He aspires to use modern technology in agriculture that also helps farmers live a sustainable life.
With that being the moral of this story, there is a fun story line added to lighten the mood. There is a ragi ball eating competition that goes all wrong, there is also a love story and a couple of twists in the plot that try to keep the rather serious message of the film afloat.
Aanebala attempts to captures the rural life in south Karnataka. It is beautiful indeed. There is an attempt to promote rural sports and basically all things rural. However, the story line fails to keep the viewer captivated.
