Who are Gourab Mandal and Chintamani Diana, Vrindavan's viral couple?
Gourab Mondal and Chintamani Diana have captivated their social media followers with their scintillating dance moves and old world charm that capture the essence of Vrindavan, the city where they met and fell in love. Meet Gourab Mondal, a celebrated actor from the Bengali television industry, and Chintamani Diana, a Russian-born Odissi dancer turned Vrindavan resident, whose love story started in this sacred town and has since gone viral.
Chintamani Diana was born in Russia but her upbringing was steeped in the teachings of Bhagvad Gita and Indian culture, thanks to her parents' devotion. At the age of 19, she won a cultural competition hosted by ISKCON, which also gave her a chance to visit India. Her visit to Vrindavan in 2013 had such a profound impact on her that she decided to return to India. In 2015, Diana made a life-altering decision to relocate to India permanently with her family, and decided to dedicate herself to the spirituality and Lord Krishna’s teachings.
Diana, thereafter devoted three years to learn the classical dance form Odissi, and became a professional dancer. Her love for Indian traditions also led her and her fashion-designer mother to launch a flourishing silk saree business. You can often see Diana draped in beautiful sarees, that reflect her love for Indian culture and tradition.
Diana often shares glimpses of her life at Vrindavan on social media, which has left her followers fascinated.
In Vrindavan, she also met her soulmate actor Bengali TV actor Gourab Mondal and the two decided to get engaged. The videos of the couple are reminiscent of the town’s own tales of Krishna and Radha. Mondal and Diana's social media feeds are full of dreamy, love-filled photos and moments.
Fans are especially in love with their photos in the backdrop of Vrindavan’s picturesque landscapes, and them travelling together to the town's sacred ghats and spiritual destinations.
Gourab Mondal has acted in Bengali TV shows like Kone Bou (2019), Nayantara (2021) and Om Namah Shivay (2018).
