A recent incident from Gorakhpur is drawing attention across social media and among regular diners. What began as a simple birthday outing has evolved into a broader discussion about restaurant cleanliness. A viral video from the evening has reignited public scrutiny over food safety management at popular dining establishments.

Birthday gathering at mall restaurant

As mentioned in a report by India Today, on Wednesday, around 4:30 pm, Sachin Verma visited a Barbeque Nation outlet inside a mall in Gorakhpur. He was there with family and friends to celebrate his son Satvik’s birthday. The group included around 20 people. Among them, some ordered vegetarian food, while others chose non-vegetarian dishes. The meal started normally with starters being served.

Issue found in main course

The situation changed when the group moved to the main course. After the incident, several people at the table stopped eating.

He accused the outlet of serving food in unhygienic conditions and not maintaining proper cleanliness.Members of the group also recorded a video at the restaurant. This video was later shared on social media and quickly went viral.

Management admits lapse

The restaurant management responded to the incident. The manager admitted that there was a mistake. He said, “I admit that a mistake has happened. However, we take full care of cleanliness. We don’t know how this happened or where it came from.”

Food department inspection
