Toilet looked ‘blocked’ until a king cobra suddenly rose from inside; viral resort video leaves internet horrified
The now-viral incident reportedly happened at a resort in Salvador Benedicto, a town located near the Northern Negros Natural Park in the Philippines. Videos from the scene have now exploded across social media, with many users claiming the reptile looked like a king cobra.
What first looked like a plumbing issue quickly turned scary
According to reports, five friends were staying at the resort when one of them entered the bathroom and noticed a strange dark object sitting inside the toilet bowl.
At first, he reportedly assumed the toilet had simply not been flushed properly. Trying to clear it, he flushed again.
That’s when things went from weird to absolutely terrifying.
Instead of disappearing, a snake reportedly began emerging from the toilet pipe beneath the seat.
Panicked, the man immediately rushed out and alerted his friends. But initially, nobody really believed him. Some reportedly thought he was joking or exaggerating the situation.
That changed very quickly once they walked into the bathroom themselves.
Viral video captures the horrifying moment
The video that later surfaced online shows one of the guests carefully lifting the toilet lid using a long stick while the others stand at a safe distance.
Moments later, the snake can be seen moving inside the bowl before slowly raising its head. At one point, the reptile even flicks its tongue toward the camera, making the footage even more unsettling.
The group can be heard reacting nervously while trying to figure out whether the snake was alive and how dangerous it actually was.
Honestly, it’s the kind of video that instantly unlocks a brand-new fear.
Internet convinced it was a king cobra
But after the clip went viral, several social media users and reptile enthusiasts claimed the snake strongly resembled a king cobra - one of the world’s most venomous snakes.
“Not taking a shower or using a toilet for the rest of the trip,” one user joked.
Someone else commented, “New fear unlocked forever.”
Others praised the group for not trying to handle the reptile themselves and instead informing the hotel staff.
Resort staff reportedly stepped in
According to reports, resort employees were eventually informed about the snake and later stepped in to deal with the situation safely.
Local authorities have also reportedly acknowledged that sightings of king cobras in the Salvador Benedicto area are not entirely unheard of because of its proximity to forest regions and natural habitats.
Officials are now said to be looking further into the incident.
Social media can’t stop talking about it
The internet, meanwhile, is completely obsessed with the video.
Some users admitted they would immediately leave the hotel if something like this happened to them, while others joked that they would “never trust a toilet again.”
And honestly, considering how calmly the snake emerged from the bowl, people online might have a point.
