Net worth of MrBeast; The YouTube creator who is out-earning Hollywood's biggest stars
The TikTok bidder might have been struggling to ace the viral morning routine of Ashton Hall, but that hasn’t come in the way of raking in money!
How? Read on to find out.
The money machine!
James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson, who is known as MrBeast, has reportedly achieved a level of financial success that places him in a remarkable position, potentially exceeding the earnings of many prominent figures in the traditional entertainment industry, including top-tier actors.
In 2023, Time named MrBeast one of the world's 100 most influential people. He ranked first on the Forbes list for the highest-paid YouTube creator in 2024 and has an estimated net worth of $550 million.
Although MrBeast’s precise financial details remain largely undisclosed, various industry analyses and estimations, including those from Forbes and Celebrity Net Worth, indicate a substantial annual income and a burgeoning net worth for the digital entrepreneur.
Source of earnings:
Although MrBeast primarily is a creator and is the most followed creator on YouTube, his sources of income are quite dynamic. His YouTube ventures, boasting 383 million subscribers, bring in significant revenue through advertising and brand integrations (reportedly charging $2.5 million to $3 million per shout-out, as per Time magazine in February 2024).
Time magazine's interview with MrBeast in February 2024 revealed that each of his videos can generate "a couple million" in ad revenue and brand deals.
Although a definitive valuation of MrBeast's total net worth is not publicly available. Parade (January 2025), suggests a figure of around $1 billion and demonstrates a trajectory of significant growth from a reported $500 million in 2022
Who is MrBeast?
James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson, born in 1998, in Kansas, is better known by his online alias MrBeast. Donaldson, who mostly grew up in Greenville, North Carolina, is an American YouTuber, media personality, and businessman. He is known for his fast-paced and high-production YouTube videos, where he often hosts elaborate challenges and donates large amounts of money.
After the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, declared to temporarily save TikTok (backed by ByteDance) from a nationwide ban (Trump announced he would sign an executive order to delay the ban by 75 days), MrBeast emerged as a new contender once he posted that tweet on X, saying, “Okay fine, I’ll buy Tik Tok so it doesn’t get banned,” adding, “Unironically I’ve had so many billionaires reach out to me since I tweeted this, let’s see if we can pull this off.”
Starting his YouTube journey as early as at the age of 13, MrBeast posted his first YouTube video in 2012, under the handle MrBeast6000. His early content ranged from Let's Plays to "videos estimating the wealth of other YouTubers," videos that offered tips to upcoming YouTube creators, and commentary on YouTube drama. In January 2017, Donaldson published an almost day-long video of himself counting to 100,000, which became his breakthrough viral video. The ordeal took him 40 hours, with some parts sped up to "keep it under 24 hours".
In 2015 and 2016, Donaldson gained popularity with his "Worst Intros on YouTube" series poking fun at YouTube video introductions. By mid-2016, Donaldson had around 30,000 subscribers.
Donaldson currently runs the YouTube channels Beast Reacts (formerly BeastHacks), MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast 2 (formerly MrBeast Shorts), and the philanthropy channel Beast Philanthropy.
Donaldson is a self-proclaimed introvert and admits that he struggles to maintain a social life due to his intense focus on YouTube and his work ethic.
Donaldson dated YouTuber Maddy Spidell from 2019 to 2022 and began dating gaming streamer Thea Booysen in 2022.
On January 1, 2025, he announced his engagement to Booysen, which occurred on December 25, 2024.
