More and more people are getting fascinated with the church, the internet has been filled with discussions, questions, and wonder for this unusual building.
The "Shadowless Church" in Chengdu, China, is fast becoming the subject of internet gossip, and it's no wonder why. This beautiful church, designed by Shanghai Dachuan Architects, offers a traditional take on buildings combined with a modern, innovative flair. The building takes its cue from the lovely Provence region of France, known for fields of lavender and artistic appeal, that offers a unique blend of culture. The designers, who also designed the Langxiang Church in France, wished to go beyond the concept of simplicity and bring life to something far more majestic and ethereal looking. "The freedom and romance of southern France inspired us," they explained. Individuals from all over the world are appreciating the creativity and beauty of the church. It's not only a house of worship, it's a celebration of cultural blending and architectural genius.
The Chengdu Shadowless Church is just as striking within as it is without. The moment one enters and gazes upwards, the uninterrupted continuity of the pillars takes the breath away. The whole church is constructed using square aluminium tubes, and the whole place has a shiny, new look, with the thin steel framework and heavy aluminium plates ensuring everything remains firm. The architects also hid the load-bearing column behind a secret ceiling, leaving the interior feeling airy and expansive. To save on transportation expenses as well as environmental costs, light aluminium was used during construction. During nighttime, the church softly glows from inside with no light leakages, thus providing a serene, almost whimsical ambiance. A lavender field outside finishes off the serene atmosphere, making this location truly memorable.
