Grok nails the Best Picture prediction

Grok’s pre-Oscars prediction perfectly called the razor-thin Best Picture race at the 98th Academy Awards. It foresaw Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another edging out Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, giving Anderson’s DiCaprio-led epic the edge for its awards-season sweep.

Best Actor triumph foreseen

In Best Actor category, Grok appreciated Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme as the frontrunner after Globe wins, but noted Michael B. Jordan’s SAG push for Sinners, making him a photo-finish favourite—and nailed Jordan’s win, making it yet another correct prediction. The other nominees included Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent), but Grok’s insight into the shift proved dead-on.

Best Actress predicted correctly by Grok

Grok confidently predicted Jessie Buckley for Hamnet, citing her clean sweep at the Golden Globes, SAG, and Critics’ Choice, and she took home the Oscar—another spot-on prediction by Grok. Other nominees in the category included Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Renate Reinsve, Emma Stone (Bugonia), and Kate Hudson, all of whom fell short, validating Grok’s read on her dominance.

Previously, Elon Musk had also praised Grok AI for making the right predictions for Oscar categories in 2025.
