"Always check your gajra, brides!": Viral video shows caterpillar crawling in bride's hair flowers; netizens react
A wedding day marks the biggest turning point in a woman's life, when she takes a step forward into the forever with the person she chooses to build dreams with.
It's that magical moment where childhood fantasies meet reality, surrounded by loved ones cheering her on. Dressed in her finest, decked with alluring jewelry and accessories- bangles, nose ring, and flower garlands for her hair.
But what if a tiny creature shows up uninvited?
Recently, a viral video showed a Bengali bride all decked up for her big day, but a tiny caterpillar was caught crawling in her hair accessories.
A video going viral on social media from a makeup artist’s account, shows a Bengali bride decked up for her ceremony functions in a pastel green saree paired with a blue blouse and gold jewelry.
Her hair is adorned with a fresh gajra of jasmine, a must for South Indian and Bengali weddings, that adds grace to her luscious locks, but only then a tiny caterpillar appears, peeking and crawling in them.
The clip, captioned "Beware of flower insects/bugs before wearing flowers in your hair this summer," originally written in Bengali, has gone viral online, sparking warnings about the risks of fresh flowers in bridal looks.
A helper quickly plucks it off into a box but the moment has everyone gasping. The video ends with the bride laughing it off, but the caption drives home the point.
Fresh flowers for gajras or venis are lovely but risky. Jasmine and marigolds often harbor insects from fields. "Fresh flowers" are key for classic updos, but hygiene is also necessary.
One user commented, "Main to gajra hi nikal deti usi waqt!". Another said, "Always check your gajra, brides!" A third user added, “Oh! Mago! Sareer sathe matching!’
