Bollywood’s favourite chocolate-boy
Vicky Kaushal is in the city to promote his upcoming film Bhoot and while here, the actor has quite a bit to say about his love for the city and the special connection he shares with it.
“I am so happy to be in Hyderabad because I have a special connection with the city,” he says, adding, “When I first came here as a struggling actor, it was to do theatre.
We even put on a play for a thousand school students and I remember quite well how naughty they were. The only time they would love the play is when a blackout would happen.”
Not just that, the actor also speaks about his love for Hyderabadi food and more. “I just love the biryani here, it’s amazing. I even wanted to try out some Irani chai and we were even getting calls from at least five places to taste the chai from their café. While it’s unfortunate that we didn’t have the time to, the hospitality is so sweet; I wish I could spend some more time here.”
It is Charminar though that seems to hold a special place in his heart, especially because it’s the first time he visited the monument. “I did manage to visit Charminar and it’s my first time there. I was so happy from the second I got a glimpse of it from my car, I was peeking out to get a better view like a child,” he says, adding, “The people there are so sweet and welcoming. I saw people can go up the Charminar because I could see a few waving at me from there. The next time I’m here, I plan to go up there to catch the view of the city!”
