Actress Keerthy Suresh’s latest film ‘Mahanati’ is all set to hit the theatre today on May 9, 2018. With her uncanny resemblance to the yesteryear legendary actress Savitri, Keerthy has already mesmerised and intrigued the audience. Born on October 17 to Malayalam producer Suresh Kumar and Tamil actress Menaka, Keerthy Suresh is half-Tamil and half-Malayali. She debuted as a child artist in Rajiv Anchal’s ‘Pilots’ (2000) at the age of 17. The film did well at the box-office. Her second film with Kalabhavan Mani and Biju Menon, ‘Achaneyanenikkishtam’ (2001), was a hit. Her third film with Dileep and Samyuktha Varma in ‘Kuberan’ (2002), became a box-office super hit and Keerthy’s career took a front seat.

Mollywood has seen some memorable roles played out by the gorgeous actress Keerthy Suresh. She has also starred in a couple of Malayalam television shows like ‘Santhana Gopalam’ (2004) and ‘Krishna Kripa Sagaram’ (2005) as the child artist. With a successful stint as evident in such popular serials, she went on to become the loved child actress of television. After portraying the child artist in several films and television shows, Keerthy made her Malayalam debut as a lead actress in Priyadarshan's horror film ‘Geethaanjali’ (2013), in which she had a double role.

Though she started her career as a child artist, the success of ‘Pilots’, ‘Kuberan’ and ‘Achaneyanenikkishtam’ prompted her to take a new look at her career. Since then she started taking up the leading roles, which became her forte. Keerthy Suresh has apparently worked in 17 films in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films so far. She has films like ‘Ring Master’, ‘Idhu Enna Maayam’, ‘Nenu Sailaja’, ‘Rajini Murugan’, ‘Thodari’, ‘Remo’, ‘Bairavaa’, ‘Nenu Local’, and ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam’ to her credit.

When she made her debut in Tollywood, Keerthy was not comfortable talking in Telugu. Her voice mostly dubbed by a dubbing artist Akshaya. Keerthy dubbed for her dialogues for the first time in ‘Mahanati’. Even though she hasn’t behind the voice of Sailaja in Ram Pothineni starrer ‘Nenu Sailaja’, which is her debut Telugu film, the 25-year-old actress has been flooded with a number of offers in Tollywood. In a short span of time, she got the opportunity to pair up with Power Star Pawan Kalyan in ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ (2017).
