When Samantha Ruth Prabhu transformed her wedding outfit into a sustainable statement

As Naga Chaitanya is all set to get hitched with Sobhita Dhulipala, here's a flashback moment when Samantha Ruth Prabhu was making waves with her sustainability and transformation.


Samantha in April 2024 reused her wedding attire from the year 2017 as she wore it during the Elle Sustainability Awards.


The dress had been specially prepared for her wedding with Naga Chaitanya but was re-styled by designer Kresha Bajaj.

Samantha, on her Instagram page, shared the story behind her outfit. "The dress I am wearing today is a cherished gown that has been restyled."

Kresha Bajaj, who worked on the restyling process, spoke about the creative process in a co-written post on Instagram with Samantha: "There are always new memories to be made. There are always new paths to walk. There are always new stories to tell. Beauty is forever. And it can take on a new form every day."

In her post, Samantha urged her fans to take small steps toward sustainable living, saying: "We cannot ignore sustainability anymore. It's now a necessity for the longevity of our planet. Repurposing my old clothes is one of many steps I am consciously taking to alter my habits and make my lifestyle more sustainable."

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017. They, however, separated in October 2021.

On the work front, Samantha was last seen in the action series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ which also starred Varun Dhawan in the lead. Created by Raj and DK, the series is getting good reviews from the audiences.
