Ram Charan has captured the hearts of audiences far beyond Indian shores, especially after the worldwide success of RRR. While his magnetic screen presence and powerful performances continue to win fans internationally, the actor has always remained deeply rooted in
Indian cinema.
In 2023, Ram Charan attended the Film Tourism for Economic and Cultural Preservation event in Jammu and Kashmir, where he was asked about a potential Hollywood debut. Addressing the speculation, the 'Game Changer' actor shared a thoughtful response about his love for Indian culture and storytelling.
"Indian stories have dignity"As per a Pinkvilla report, the actor shared his wish to explore India more rather than travelling around the world for his film. "I want to explore India more, and I don't think I would want to travel anywhere else for my films unless the producer or director is from Hollywood," he said. "I want to stick to my culture. I want to educate that our Indian sentiments are so strong. Our culture is so strong. There's a lot of dignity in our stories. Nowadays, when you see it, it's not a South Indian or North Indian movie; it's about Indian mitti ka stories. These stories are finally coming out."
While Charan has always been open to global collaborations, he shared his commitment to showcasing Indian narratives on the world stage.
On the work front, he is currently shooting his upcoming big-budget movie 'Peddi'. Directed by the 'Uppena' fame Buchi Babu Sana, is a rural sports drama which will see Ram in a rugged and intense look of an athlete from a village. He is seen playing cricket and wrestling in the already released teaser. The movie also stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead and features Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar,
Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu.
