Amitabh Bachchan joins the sets of Nag Ashwin's film with Prabhas

Tollywood star Prabhas’s upcoming film with director Nag Ashwin officially kicked off in Hyderabad on Saturday, on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Prabhas clapped for the first shot for Amitabh Bachchan, who is playing an important role in the film. A few crucial scenes featuring Big B will be canned in the first schedule, which has not gotten underway in Hyderabad.

Movie theatres set to reopen in Hyderabad from Friday

All theatres and multiplexes in Hyderabad will reopen on Friday, July 23, 2021, and will be allowed to function with 50 per cent occupancy. The big-budget films such as Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story and a few other films are slated for a release by end of August. The films were postponed due to the second wave of Coronavirus. Though the Telangana government granted permission for exhibitors to open in theatres last month, they have waited for Andhra Pradesh to grant permission for open theatres.

Allu Arjun visits the sets of 'Ghani'

Pushpa star Allu Arjun took time out of his busy schedule to visit the sets of Kiran Korrapati’s Varun Tej Konidela and Saiee Manjrekar starrer Ghani. Shooting for the boxing drama is currently in progress in Hyderabad and the actor visited the sets looking stylish as ever in a black sweatshirt with sunnies on. Allu Arjun also sent his best wishes to the entire team including his brother-in-law Sidhu Mudda who’s also producing the film. While Ghani was initially slated to hit screens on July 30 it remains to be seen when it’ll release.

'Dear Megha' teaser

The teaser of Dear Megha was out on Thursday. It is an upcoming Telugu Romantic Drama that stars Megha Akash, Adit Arun, and Arjun Somayaju in the lead roles. The film's music is composed by Gowra Hari whereas the cinematography was held by Andrew. Editing by Prawin Pudi and bank rolled by Arjun Dasyan of Vedaansh Creative works. The teaser looks beautiful with feel-good love story vibes.

Anushka Shetty completes 16 years in TFI

It has been 16 years since Baahubali actress Anushka Shetty debuted in Tollywood as her first film Super released years ago on July 20. The actress has since scored numerous blockbusters, made a name for herself and bagged awards. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Super hit the screens in 2005 and also saw Nagarjuna, Ayesha Takia and Sonu Sood in the lead roles. In the film, Anushka played the role of Sonu Sood’s character’s sister.

'Family Drama' trailer

The trailer of the upcoming film 'Family Drama' is out. The mystery-thriller stars Suhas, Teja Kasarapu and Pooja Kiran in the lead roles. The trailer of 'Family Drama' gives viewers a glimpse into the gripping mystery-thriller. It seems Sushas will be seen essaying a serial killer in the film. If the trailer is anything to go by, director Meher Tej and his team seem to have whipped up an edge-of-the-seat mystery thriller.

Alia Bhatt joins the sets of 'RRR'

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt will soon make her Tollywood debut with SS Rajamouli’s Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR. The actress re-joined the sets after the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, flying down to Hyderabad from Mumbai for the same. Alia Bhatt will play the role of Sita in RRR, Ram Charan’s wife. Her traditional first look from the film was met with great response and it remains to be seen how she fares in her Telugu debut. Ram Charan plays the role of a police officer based in Alluri Sitaramaraju in the film.

Santosh Shobhan's 'Manchi Rojulochaie' first look

After ‘Ek Mini Katha’ getting released on OTT, UV Concepts has now partnered with SKN (Sreenivasa Kumar) for a new love story with Santosh Shobhan and Mehreen Pirzada. Tilted 'Manchi Rojulochaie,' the film's first look was released on social media on 20th July. The film is directed by Maruthi and is said to be shot in just 30 days' time. Manchi Rojulochaie is produced by UV Concepts in association with Mass Movie Makers.

Nandamuri Balakrishna's controversial statement on AR Rahman

Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, who's known for making controversial remarks, has yet again courted controversy with his remarks in the latest interview. Speaking to a local TV channel, Balakrishna said that he does not know who Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is. What's more, he goes on to insult the prestigious Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award and claims it's not even worthy of his father, late NTR's toenail.
