Virender Sehwag jokes he has ‘nothing to do’ after retirement; says he watches Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Prabhas films

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag recently visited Hyderabad for the launch of the Tollywood Pro League (TPL). During the event, the cricketer spoke about watching Telugu cinema in his post-retirement life and shared the name of his favourite Tollywood star.

As per a report by Hindustan Times, Virendra Sehwag, during a conversation with the hosts Vindhya Vishaka and Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, was asked if he watches South Indian cinema. The legendary batter shared that he is a big fan of them and shared that, although he does not understand Telugu or Tamil, he regularly watches these films in Hindi.

He also went on to mention the dialogue of Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa’ as he said, “I remember the dialogue ‘saala jhukega nahi (I won’t back down)’ from Pushpa.”

He also joked about “having nothing to do” after his retirement from the sport, but watches Tollywood stars Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Prabhas films. He also named the Tollywood actor he likes the most, as he said, “My favourite Telugu hero is Mahesh Babu. I also like Allu Arjun, Prabhas…I watched Baahubali a couple of times. Now I’m happily retired, na? So, I have nothing to do”.

Actor’s work front

On the current work front of the named actors, Mahesh Babu is currently shooting his upcoming magnum opus, ‘Varanasi’, with ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The movie will be a grand action adventure film, which also includes global icon Priyanka Chopra and Malayalam star Prithiviraj Sukumaran in the lead.

Allu Arjun, after the massive success of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, is now working with director Atlee on a sci-fi film, tentatively named ‘AA22xA6’. On the other hand, Rebel Star Prabhas will be next seen in the horror comedy, ‘The Raja Saab’. He will be further seen in ‘Fauzi’ directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and ‘Spirit’ by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
