The duo, who have been in the news for their rumoured relationship after the successful outing 'Geetha Govindam' and 'Dear Comrade,' are all set to collaborate for another film, which is currently in the early stages of production.
To star in Rahul Sankrityan's 'VD14'
According to a report by India Today, the film, tentatively titled 'VD14', will be directed by 'Shyam Singha Roy' fame Rahul Sankrityan, who is set to reunite the pair who are highly rumoured to be dating each other.
Shooting timeline affected by Vijay's health
As per the same report, it indicates that Rashmika is currently in Hyderabad shooting another film 'Thama' and will begin shooting the untitled project soon alongside both films. Apparently, the first schedule was supposed to start last week, but due to Vijay Deverakonda's illness with dengue, the team was forced to postpone the first schedule.
The makers are keeping all plot details under wraps. Last time, they released a poster of Vijay Deverakonda with a backshot of him meditating with no shirt on in some temple-like or worship place with a dhoti, his long hair, and showing battle scars on his back.
This will be Rahul Sankrityan's second directorial project after his acclaimed supernatural horror film 'Shyam Singha Roy.' The film was announced in May 2024, but details about the casting were not revealed at that time.
Rashmika Mandanna has a busy schedule ahead with upcoming films such as 'The Girlfriend' and 'Mysaa', while Vijay Deverakonda is preparing for the release of 'Kingdom', a spy-action thriller alongside Bhagyashri Borse, and Satyadev. Vijay also has 'SVC 59' in the works.
