After the screening, the film received good appreciation from those who watched it, with one of them writing, “Everyone MUST watch this beautiful soulful film! It is Indian cinema at its finest. Theatrical release coming soon..! Congratulations Venkatesh Maha on your masterpiece!” (sic)
Previously, many acclaimed films like ‘Monsoon Wedding’, ‘The Namesake’, and even ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ have had their premiers at this festival. Even before making its debut at the festival, the film managed to wow Suresh Productions, with the bigwigs willing to back the film. Back in April even Adivi Sesh who had seen the film had written, “Layered, honest storytelling with truly gorgeous moments, take a bow!”(sic)
Talking about the film, Venkatesh Maha had previously told Hyderabad Times, “It’s an anthology of four love stories set in Kancharapalem featuring residents of the area. Of the 85-member-cast only 5 are from Hyderabad, the rest are locals with no acting experience to speak of.” The plot revolves around eight love stories of eight central characters. “The protagonists are of varied ages, ranging from the age of 13 to 50. Though the film falls in the romance genre, it is in essence a reflection of life that will resonate with people of all age groups,” he added.
While the film’s release date hasn’t been announced yet, it would be interesting to see how the film would fare in theatres.
