Telangana Cinema Theatres Association issues apology about their tone at recent press meet

Telangana Cinema Theatres Association issued an apology on behalf of exhibitors who slammed certain producers in the Telugu Film Industry.
On Friday evening, exhibitors and distributors expressed concern over Tuck Jagadish releasing on an OTT platform on September 10, the same day Love Story is slated to release in theatres. While initially they spoke of how theatres must be supported and they’re worried if films like Tuck Jagadish opt for release on digital platforms, it was soon clear the fact that its release clashes with Love Story was an issue too.
In the statement now issued to press, the Telangana Cinema Theatres Association wrote, “To all the concerned people of Telugu Film Trade, we would like to inform you that the exhibitors of Telangana have conducted a press conference on 20th August only for the betterment of trade and to follow best and beneficial practices to everyone in the trade.We sincerely apologise to everyone if few of our exhibitors have hurted someone. (sic)”
The members added that every single member of the fraternity is part of one family and that they’re not against anyone. “We once again reiterate the fact that all of us in the trade belong to one family and we are striving only for the betterment of the trade and not against anyone, (sic)” they wrote.
On Friday, members of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce expressed their disappointment at the team of Tuck Jagadish selling the film to an OTT platform before October. Though the same hasn’t been announced yet, producer Sunil Narag alleged that the makers of Shiva Nirvana’s Nani, Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Tuck Jagadish, producer Harish Peddi, finalised a deal to release the film on September 10. On the same date, Sekhar Kammula’s Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer Love Story is also hitting the big screens, produced by Sunil Narang.
