Sudheer Babu mourns Vijaya Nirmala's passing

Actor cum director Vijaya Nirmala’s demise left many from the film industry shocked, with social media filled with supportive messages for her husband, actor Krishna, son Naresh and step-children, including Mahesh Babu and Manjula Ghattamaneni.
Everyone from directors to actors and fans have been reminiscing about her life on social media, talking of the void she leaves in her wake. Her step-son-in-law Sudheer Babu too reminisced on how she was like a ‘mother like personality’ and wrote, “A terrible day for my family.A pioneer, a legend and most importantly my mother like personality, #VijayaNirmala Garu made her way to the God.May her soul rest in peace. #Ripvijayanirmalagaru.” (sic)
Reminiscing of how she was a trailblazer in a male-dominated industry, he added, “In a typical largely male occupied movie world, she paved a way for women. She will remain an inspiration and a symbol of women empowerment. If a Guinness record could only explain the beacon she is for women in TFI. #RIPVijayaNirmalaGaru.” (sic)

The actress’s mortal remains were brought to her home today from the hospital where she passed away. Her final rites will be conducted tomorrow, something her son, actor Naresh confirmed when he wrote on social media, “Her body will be kept at our residence (Nanakramguda) today from 11am Her final rites will be held tomorrow, that is, 28.6.2019.
