It is speculated that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga may have locked the antagonist for ‘Spirit’. As per News18, it is suggested that senior Telugu actor Gopichand might be playing the villain. It is also said that the casting is done. However, it is imperative to mention that the makers are yet to announce the entire cast.


Earlier, the actor had openly said that he is ready to play negative roles if the character is strong and layered. If the rumours turn true, ‘Spirit’ could offer him such a role. This film would also be his first-ever on-screen project with Prabhas and his first time working under Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Release date of ‘Spirit’

Last week, the makers officially announced the release date of ‘Spirit’. The film will release worldwide on March 5, 2027. Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared a special poster on Instagram to confirm the date. Earlier, the film was expected to be released in 2026, but it was pushed due to long shooting schedules and heavy post-production work.

The makers on New Year shared the first look poster of the film. It shows Prabhas standing shirtless with his back seen. He is seen bruished with Triptii Dimri standing in front of him, lighting his cigarette.

Speaking about the cast of the film, the film also features Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj in key roles.
